will the “recession” affect the nanny/home care market?
Though it's difficult to predict exactly how
the next year will pan out, weak job growth, a slowing economy and troubled
housing markets all point to signs of an economic recession. The good news for
job seekers is that currently employers are still hiring and certain industries
will survive (even thrive) during hard times. Historically the child care

short, no one knows but we do have a few suggestions:

Try not to rely entirely on one source of income. For example, work for
a number of different families. We advise everyone who asks to take on a few
extra nights babysitting, or consider weekend work… This way if one employer
decides not to keep you on. You still have money coming in.

Talk to the family/families you work for. Find out how secure your job
