"Games to Play at a Child's Christmas Party"

If you find
yourself planning a child’s Christmas party you might be looking for some ideas
for games they can play. Here are a few Christmas games for children.
Pin the nose on Santa or Rudolph. Have a
picture of Santa or Rudolph and hang it on the wall. Make some red noses and
attach a piece of tape to the back of each one. Blindfold the child and spin
them around a few times. Now have them try to place the nose in the correct
place on Santa’s or Rudolph’s face. The kids will get a kick out of where all
the noses end up. Give a prize to the one that gets it the closest.
Musical chairs. Have all the children
sit in chairs arranged in a group. When the music begins have them walk around
the chairs. You remove one of the chairs. Now stop the music and tell all the
children to sit down one per seat. The one left standing is out. Keep going
until there is only one child remaining.

Guess who. In this kids Christmas
party game the children are given clues to a Christmas character and they have
to guess who it might be. An example would be 'I have a red nose', 'I have a song
all about me', 'I am part of a group of eight'. In each case the answer would be Rudolph. This
can be done with Santa, Frosty, or any other favourite Christmas character.
Santa Says. This is played like
'Simon says'. Have the children line up and give them commands such as 'Santa says
to hop on one foot', 'Santa says to touch your nose', 'Santa says to sing Jingle
Bells'. Then throw in a few to trick them such as 'touch your toes'. The ones that
'touch their toes' are out because Santa didn’t say that.
Twenty Questions Christmas style. Think of an
object or item related to Christmas. Now have the children take turns asking
questions to try to figure out what you are thinking of. You could have each
child take a turn thinking of something. This is a very simple but entertaining
children’s Christmas party game.

Christmas Word Search. Make up a
word search puzzle and hide several Christmas related words throughout. Have
the children try to find as many as they can in a certain amount of time. The
child with the most words found wins a prize.
Unscramble The Words. Make a worksheet with different Christmas words all mixed up. Have
the children try to figure out the words in a certain amount of time. Give
prizes to the ones that get the most words right.
