Why
have a house sitter? There
are many excellent reasons to employ a house sitter in your absence, below are
a few we feel are most significant: 1.
Your home and its contents are at high risk of burglary
and/or vandalism if you are away on business or holiday. Thieves and vandals
are very quick to notice the tell tale signs that a house is unoccupied such as
leaving the curtains open or closed at unusual times, or newspapers sticking
out of the letterbox. 2.
Your home and contents insurance becomes null and
void after your home is empty for 30 (or sometimes 60) consecutive days. 3.
The relationship between the homeowner and the
house sitter is not based on money but on trust and a free exchange of
services. The home owner has their home, pets and plants cared for free and the
house sitter gets free accommodation and/or a holiday. Sounds like the perfect
arrangement! 4.
The house sitter will expect to be asked to
maintain the property up to a very high standard. 5.
Your pets will be cared for in their own home at no
cost. This is the most stress free way of caring for your pets in your absence. 6.
You can arrange to have your mail and phone
